Congress Seva Dal Leaders and Workers Convey Message of Patriotism and National Unity
Ujjain, 10 August 2026 (SDNA) To commemorate the Quit India Movement and August Kranti Day, the City and District Rural Congress Seva Dal, Ujjain, organized an August Kranti Tiranga Yatra and various other programmes on Sunday. A large number of Congress office-bearers and workers participated in the programme.
The programme began at 9:30 AM with the garlanding of the statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose near Charak Bhavan. Thereafter, Congress workers carried the Tricolour and took out a Tiranga Yatra up to the City Congress Office. The participants conveyed a message of patriotism and national unity during the procession.
At 11 AM, a charge-taking and felicitation ceremony for the newly appointed presidents of the City and District Rural Congress Seva Dal was organized under the aegis of the City Congress Committee. On the occasion, Mrs. Seema Patel, appointed as President of the City Congress Seva Dal, and Mrs. Roshni Namdev, appointed as President of the District Congress Seva Dal, were welcomed and felicitated.
The programme was attended by District Rural Congress Committee President Mahesh Parmar, City Congress President Mukesh Bhati, former MP Satyanarayan Panwar, State Congress Seva Dal Vice-President Arun Rochwani, senior leader Manohar Bairagi, Dr. Chainsingh Chaudhary (District President, Rural Congress Seva Dal), Kuldeep Singh Jat (City President, City Congress), Dr. Vijay Bodana (District President, Young Brigade Seva Dal), Organization General Secretary Ajay Rathore, Leader of Opposition Ravi Rai, Lalit Meena, Sunil Kachhwaha, councillor Chhotelal Mandloi, Leela Bai Chauhan, Rashmi Trivedi, Hemant Koli, Purushottam Thakur, Rais Mansuri, Abhishek Sharma, Sanchit Sharma, Rajendra Chandel, Pop Singh Panwar, Bunty Khan, Devilal Jatwa, Surya Neta, Sher Khan, Hukum Singh Anjana, Sangeeta Goswami, Parvati Phuleria, Farhan Marwadi, Neelam Vishwas, Saba Qureshi, Usha Malviya, along with several other Congress office-bearers and workers.
On the occasion of August Kranti Day, the contribution of freedom fighters who fought for the country’s independence was remembered. The programme conveyed a message of patriotism, social unity and national integrity while recalling the values of India’s freedom struggle.
The programme was conducted by Dr. Chainsingh Chaudhary, District President of the Rural Congress Seva Dal, while Kuldeep Singh Jat, City President of the City Congress Seva Dal, proposed the vote of thanks.
