IT Parks and Engineering Campuses to Provide New Employment Opportunities Alongside Education
Indore, September 20, 2026: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the state government is taking several innovative steps to make employment opportunities more accessible to the youth. He said the government is working towards creating a system under which IT parks and engineering campuses in Indore, Ujjain and other parts of the state will provide young people with new employment opportunities alongside their education.
Dr. Yadav said the state government is developing an Indore-Bhopal Metropolitan City Area, which is expected to support overall development, technological advancement and innovation while creating new employment opportunities for young people. He said the government is also working to establish industrial units and expand the production and services sectors.
The Chief Minister said preparations for Simhastha-2028 are progressing and development works required for the religious event are being expedited.
Voluntary Public Cooperation in Road Widening Appreciated
Dr. Yadav said large-scale widening of the main road leading to Baba Mahakal in Ujjain is underway. He described the work as an important step towards the development, expansion and beautification of the city, besides improving facilities for devotees expected to visit Ujjain in large numbers during Simhastha.
He appreciated local residents who are voluntarily cooperating with the district administration in the road-widening and beautification work.
The Chief Minister made the remarks while speaking to media representatives after reviewing the IT Park and various development projects in Ujjain. Local public representatives and the district administration were also present.
Public Awareness Campaign on Transmission Line Safety Gets Strong Support in Indore
Regional Councillor Leads Efforts to Educate Citizens About Electrical Safety
Indore, September 20, 2026: The public awareness campaign being conducted by the Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company (MP Transco) to caution citizens about the risks associated with construction within restricted transmission-line corridors is receiving widespread support in Indore.
During an awareness programme organised in the Khajrana area, regional councillor Usman Patel actively participated and appealed to residents to maintain the prescribed safety distance from transmission lines and follow all required electrical safety standards.
The programme was organised in the densely populated Khajrana area under the guidance of Chief Engineer D.K. Agrawal and on the initiative of Additional Chief Engineer Neelam Khanna.
Councillor Takes Active Responsibility for Awareness
Councillor Usman Patel personally participated in the campaign and explained the potential risks associated with construction activities near high-voltage transmission lines.
Additional Chief Engineer Neelam Khanna, Executive Engineer Namrata Jain and Assistant Engineer Ravindra Patel appealed to citizens to maintain the prescribed distance from transmission lines and ensure compliance with electrical safety provisions during construction activities.
Khajrana Identified as a Highly Sensitive Area
According to MP Transco, a total of 998 residential premises are located within the restricted corridors of several high-voltage transmission lines in the densely populated Khajrana area. These include the 220 kV South Zone–Jaitpura, 220 kV Indore–Mangliya, 220 kV Indore–Dewas, 220 kV Bicholi–Dewas and 132 kV South Zone–Mahalaxmi–Mangliya transmission lines.
Residents of these premises have previously been issued notices informing them about the risks associated with construction near transmission lines and the necessary safety precautions.
Safety Corridors Prescribed for 132 kV and 220 kV Lines
As per Central Electricity Authority (CEA) guidelines, construction activities are prohibited within the prescribed Right of Way (ROW) corridor of transmission lines. A minimum 27-metre safety corridor for 132 kV lines and 35 metres for 220 kV lines is prescribed.
The safety distances take into account the possibility of increased conductor sag during high temperatures and horizontal movement, or conductor swing, during strong winds.
MP Transco has appealed to citizens to undertake construction only in accordance with prescribed electrical safety standards and to maintain the required distance from transmission lines.
IT Park Project Important for Employment Generation: CM Dr. Mohan Yadav
Ujjain and Indore Being Developed as Metropolitan Cities
Indore, September 20, 2026: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the IT Park being developed in Ujjain is an important project aimed at expanding the IT sector and creating new employment opportunities for young people.
He said IT parks and engineering campuses will provide youth with opportunities related to education, employment, skill development and new technologies. Development works are also being undertaken to develop Indore and Ujjain as metropolitan cities, with the objective of promoting employment, quality education, technological innovation and industrial expansion.
Dr. Yadav said expansion of the IT sector could encourage new industries and provide young people with better opportunities for employment and skill development within their own region.
IT Park to be Built in Two Phases
The Ujjain IT Park project is being developed in two phases over approximately 2.16 hectares of land. The project has a proposed built-up area of 15,480 square metres, of which 11,436 square metres has been earmarked for IT companies.
The Chief Minister directed officials to ensure compliance with prescribed quality standards and complete all works within the stipulated timeline.
During the inspection, Dr. Yadav also reviewed the progress of the PM Ekta Mall and Mahakal Bhakt Niwas, being constructed on Indore Road through the Ujjain Development Authority. He directed officials to expedite both projects.
He also inspected the Mahamrityunjay Dwar on Indore Road and took information about its construction and special features.
Officials of the Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation and Ujjain Collector Roshan Kumar Singh briefed the Chief Minister about the progress of the IT Park.
International Day of Older Persons to Be Observed with Dignity and Respect
Shatabdi Senior Citizens to Be Honoured; Health Check-ups and Various Activities Planned
Indore, September 20, 2026: Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Narayan Singh Kushwah has directed that International Day of Older Persons, to be observed on October 1, should be organised across Madhya Pradesh with dignity and respect.
The Minister said senior citizens have made significant contributions to families, society and the nation through their knowledge, experience and hard work. He emphasised the need to create a sensitive and supportive environment for their safety, health and dignified living.
Minister Kushwah said the programmes should not remain merely formal events. Senior citizens should participate actively, interact with officials and representatives, and their needs and problems should be addressed meaningfully.
Social Justice and Empowerment Commissioner K.G. Tiwari has issued detailed instructions to district collectors, chief executive officers of district panchayats and departmental joint and deputy directors.
The 2026 theme is “Ageing with Dignity: The Importance of Strengthening Care and Support Systems for Older Persons.”
Various programmes will be organised in districts, including felicitation of residents of old-age homes and other senior citizens, interactive sessions, indoor games such as carrom, ludo and chess, and cultural and musical activities.
Digital and Health Awareness Programmes
Training and awareness camps on mobile phones, internet, digital services and computer use will be organised to help senior citizens become digitally empowered.
Special health camps will also be organised in coordination with the National Health Mission, district hospitals, civil dispensaries and community health centres. Blood pressure, diabetes, eye examinations and other routine health checks will be conducted.
Senior citizens aged 100 years and above will be identified and honoured under the “Shatayu Samman” initiative with a shawl and coconut.
Information will also be provided about rights, assistance and grievance-redressal mechanisms available under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 and Madhya Pradesh Rules, 2009.
Schools and colleges will involve students and youth in interactive, cultural and creative programmes aimed at strengthening intergenerational understanding and sensitivity towards senior citizens.
The Elderline Helpline 14567 will also be widely publicised for addressing the problems and grievances of senior citizens.

Female Cheetah Named Radha on the Occasion of Radhashtami
Indore, September 20, 2026: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav released a female cheetah, named Radha, in the Gandhi Sagar Wildlife Sanctuary in the Neemuch-Mandsaur region on Sunday.
The female cheetah was named Radha on the occasion of Radhashtami. Dr. Yadav said the Cheetah Project, initiated under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is progressing and efforts are also being made to restore wildlife species that had become extinct in Madhya Pradesh.
With the arrival of Radha, the number of cheetahs in Gandhi Sagar Sanctuary has increased to four. The sanctuary already had two male cheetahs, Prabhas and Pavak, and one female cheetah, Dheera. The sanctuary now has two male and two female cheetahs.
Gandhi Sagar Being Developed as Second Major Cheetah Habitat
Dr. Yadav said Gandhi Sagar is being developed as the second major habitat for cheetahs after Kuno. The health, behaviour and adaptation of the animals to their new environment will be continuously monitored by the Forest Department team.
He said the expansion of the cheetah population could support wildlife conservation as well as tourism and create new employment and livelihood opportunities for local residents.
The Chief Minister also referred to Madhya Pradesh’s wildlife diversity and said the state is known for its tiger, gharial and vulture conservation efforts. He also mentioned the introduction of wild buffaloes from Assam and the growing elephant population in the state.
On the occasion, Dr. Yadav released a Forest Department booklet titled “Second Home of Cheetah – Gandhi Sagar Wildlife Sanctuary.”
The event marking four years of the cheetah reintroduction programme was attended by Garoth MLA Chander Singh Sisodia, Manasa MLA Aniruddh Madhav Maru and Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) Dr. Samita Rajoura.
Speaking to the media, the Chief Minister said the cheetah restoration programme is an important conservation initiative and that the increasing number of cheetahs indicates progress in the programme.

Indore, September 20, 2026: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that an airport will be developed in Neemuch soon, while a modern, fully equipped stadium will also be constructed to expand sports facilities in the district.
He said more than one lakh government recruitments have been made in Madhya Pradesh during the last two and a half years, while more than 3.5 lakh additional government recruitments are planned during the next two and a half years.
Dr. Yadav was addressing a felicitation programme organised under the “Seva Se Sankalp Abhiyan” at Agroha Bhawan in Neemuch.
He congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on completing 25 years in public life and referred to his contribution to the country’s development.
Service and Public Participation Campaign
The Chief Minister said the Seva Se Sankalp Abhiyan is being conducted across the state from September 17 to October 17. Various activities related to service, public participation and public welfare are being organised in all districts.
He appreciated Neemuch’s development, resilience and entrepreneurial spirit and said the “Aashirwad Ka Diya” programme organised on September 17 represented Sanatan tradition and India’s cultural heritage.
Increase in State Budget and Employment
Dr. Yadav said the state’s education budget has increased from approximately ₹5,000 crore to ₹38,000 crore, while the total state budget has risen to ₹4.48 lakh crore.
He said Madhya Pradesh’s per-capita income has crossed ₹1.70 lakh, while electricity generation has exceeded 32,000 MW.
The Chief Minister also said that while Madhya Pradesh had around five medical colleges in 2002, the state currently has 33 medical colleges with around 8,000 seats.
Airport and Stadium Announced for Neemuch
Dr. Yadav said more than 5 lakh kilometres of roads have been constructed in the state in recent years and connectivity between major cities is being improved through expressways.
He said expansion of sports infrastructure would provide better opportunities for young people and sporting talent in the district.
Cheetah Project Highlighted
The Chief Minister said a female cheetah was being released in the Khimla area of Neemuch under the Cheetah Project and described the development as significant for the district.
He said Madhya Pradesh is continuing efforts in wildlife and environmental conservation.
Dr. Yadav also said India is moving towards the goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047 and referred to India’s role in international trade and agreements, including its emphasis on national and farmers’ interests.
MLA Dilip Singh Parihar said more than two lakh lamps were lit in the district to launch the Seva Se Sankalp Abhiyan. MLA Aniruddh Madhav Maru, Municipal Council President Swati Chopra and Vandan Khandelwal also addressed the programme.
The Chief Minister felicitated individuals who had performed outstanding work under the Seva Se Sankalp Abhiyan by presenting certificates.
District Panchayat President Sajjan Singh Chauhan, Ujjain Divisional Commissioner Ashish Singh, Inspector General of Police Rakesh Gupta, public representatives, officials and citizens were present at the programme.
