‘Angan Milan Seva’ Connects Public Representatives with Children and Women Across Indore

Service Sankalp campaign brings elected representatives to Anganwadi centres; frontline workers honoured and welfare schemes discussed

Indore, September 28, 2026 (SDNA): Anganwadi centres across Indore district witnessed a series of community-focused activities on Monday under the ‘Angan Milan Seva’ programme, organised as part of the Seva Sankalp campaign.

Ministers, MLAs and other public representatives visited centres in different parts of the district, interacted directly with children, women and beneficiaries, and reviewed the services being delivered through the centres.

The programmes included tree plantation, Saraswati worship, distribution of fruits and sweets, and recognition of Anganwadi workers, helpers and ASHA workers for their field-level services.

Community Participation in Child and Women Welfare

The initiative was aimed at strengthening public participation in Anganwadi activities and taking information about women-and-child welfare schemes closer to eligible beneficiaries.

During the visits, representatives reviewed the functioning of the centres and interacted with beneficiaries on issues concerning child nutrition, maternal health and access to government welfare services.

Minister Tulsi Silawat Visits Lasudiya Mori

At the Anganwadi centre in Ward 35, Lasudiya Mori, Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silawat participated in the Angan Milan Seva programme.

Silawat interacted with beneficiaries and obtained information about the services being provided through the centre. Various beneficiaries and frontline workers were also honoured during the programme.

Welfare Schemes Discussed at Dubey Ka Baghicha

At the Anganwadi centre in Dubey Ka Baghicha, Ward 18, MLA Mahendra Hardia and councillor Nandkishore Pahadia participated in the programme.

Women and other beneficiaries were briefed about government schemes and available services. Participants also shared their experiences regarding the benefits and support they had received through various programmes.

Plantation and Saraswati Puja at Gauri Nagar

An Angan Milan Seva programme was organised at the Gauri Nagar Anganwadi centre in the presence of MLA Ramesh Mendola.

The programme featured tree plantation and Saraswati puja, followed by a review of the centre’s activities and facilities. Mendola interacted with women beneficiaries and discussed the schemes and services available to them.

Frontline Workers Honoured in Bajrang Nagar

A separate programme was held at the Anganwadi centre in Bajrang Nagar, Ward 27, under Urban Project No. 4, Mill Area Sector, with MLA Ramesh Mendola in attendance.

Anganwadi worker Rashmi, helper Manju Mehra, and ASHA workers Hemlata Verma, Chandni Rutiya and Mona Kumawat were honoured and presented with gifts.

Fruits and sweets were distributed among children and women participating in the programme.

Several local residents, including Sudhir, Deepa Srivastava, Manish Jain, Manoj Bangar, Hemlata Yadav, Jitu Kushwaha, Laxmi Solanki, Leena Meshram and Bharti Tayade, were also present.

Programme Held in Jamli, Mhow

The campaign also reached Jamli village under the Mhow Rural Project, where MLA Usha Thakur and Janpad president Sardar Malviya participated in the programme.

Anganwadi workers, helpers and ASHA workers were honoured during the event, while fruits were distributed among children. Tree plantation was also undertaken as part of the programme.

Anganwadi Services Highlighted in Bhagirathpura

An Angan Milan Seva programme was also organised at the Anganwadi centre in Bhagirathpura, Ward 11 of Indore Municipal Corporation, with councillors and other public representatives participating.

Across the district, the programmes sought to strengthen the connection between Anganwadi centres and the community while creating greater awareness about child nutrition, women’s health and government welfare services.
