Mumbai: Actress Mandakini, who shot to fame overnight with the film Ram Teri Ganga Maili, is once again in the spotlight. In a recent interview, she spoke openly about her experiences with the film, working with actor Rajiv Kapoor, and the much-discussed scene from the movie.
What Did Mandakini Say About Rajiv Kapoor?
Recalling her experience of working with Rajiv Kapoor, Mandakini said that he was a good person by nature. However, she felt that because he was Raj Kapoor’s son, he believed people should approach him themselves when they wanted to offer him work.
According to the actress, she and some of her friends had also told Rajiv Kapoor that he needed to meet people in the film industry, build professional connections, and take the initiative regarding his work. Mandakini explained that camera angles and filming techniques were used to create the way the scene appeared on screen. According to her, she held the child tightly against her chest, which made the visual effect appear different from the actual positioning during filming.

Mandakini said that after the film was released, she had no idea that she would become so popular so quickly. She was not from the film industry and was also unaware of the advantages and challenges that came with stardom.
