Ujjain: A literary and poetic gathering organized by Ghazalanjali was held in Ujjain, featuring poems, ghazals, songs and a heartfelt story presented by eminent poets and writers.
The programme began with Ashok Raktale’s Kundaliya verses:
“Ud-ud aayi phool par, nanhi titli ek,
Do pankhon ko kholkar, bhar ke rang anek…”
Dilip Jain then carried the gathering forward with a poem describing the distinctive features of the Hindi months, including the changing seasons and weather.
The poetry session was presided over by Dr. Shri Krishna Joshi. On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, Avadhesh Verma Neer presented his poem highlighting Narendra Modi’s journey as Prime Minister and the aspirations associated with his leadership.
Satyanarayan Satyendra presented a thought-provoking poem carrying the message of moderation in matters of religion:
“Dharm ke naam par mat karo ati,
Varna phir jaayegi mati…”
Addressing the city’s traffic situation, Akshay Chaware presented a poem depicting the increasing movement of visitors in the Mahakal Lok area and the pressure on the city’s roads.
Adding further depth to the literary gathering, Dr. R.P. Tiwari presented his latest composition on the occasion of Hindi Day:
“Maa Bharati ke hriday ka haar Hindi hai,
Shuchi kalewar ka subhag shringar Hindi hai…”
V.S. Gehlot ‘Saqit’ captivated the audience with a ghazal reflecting the pain of loss and the continuing desire to achieve one’s destination.
Dr. Akhilesh Chaure also won appreciation with his ghazal expressing the desire for companionship during difficult times:
“Chaha tha maine itna to mera naseeb ho,
Ghir jaaun mushkilon mein to koi kareeb ho…”
The gathering also featured a heart-touching story presented by Vinod Kabra.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Vijay Sukhwani, who expressed gratitude to all the poets, writers and participants for making the literary gathering meaningful and memorable.
