Government Has Made Strong Arrangements for Farmers’ Security
Chief Minister Joins Balaram Krishi Mahotsav at Karond Mandi, Bhopal, Through Video Conferencing
Jabalpur, August 11, 2026, SDNA. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that his government is fully committed to protecting the interests of agriculture and farmers. He appealed to farmers to protect their land under all circumstances.
He said, “Land is our mother. It nourishes us. Do not sell it to anyone.” Assuring farmers, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that whenever agricultural land is acquired for the implementation of any government scheme, farmers will receive four times the compensation, and not merely one or two times the value.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the Balaram Krishi Mahotsav organized at the Karond Agricultural Produce Market premises in Bhopal through video conferencing from the Mantralaya on Tuesday.
Addressing the farmers, the Chief Minister said that their fields are like places of worship for the government and every grain produced by them is like prasad for the government. He said that his government would always stand with farmers to honour every drop of their sweat.
He said that the Balaram Krishi Mahotsav is an initiative to honour the hard work, dedication and important contribution of farmers to the agricultural sector. The Chief Minister also interacted with farmers participating in the event through video conferencing.
Dr. Yadav said, “Your happiness is Holi and the biggest Diwali for us.” He called upon farmers to participate enthusiastically in the Balaram Krishi Mahotsav.
The Chief Minister said that Balaram Krishi Mahotsavs are being organized in all districts of the state. This is the 14th Balaram Krishi Mahotsav organized in Madhya Pradesh in the last 26 days. He said that a major agricultural festival would soon also be organized at the Bhopal headquarters.
‘Kavach’ Scheme to Provide Economic Security to Farmers
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the government has launched the “Kavach” scheme with the objective of providing economic security to farmers. Under this initiative, old irregularities in cooperative accounts have been addressed and 5,000 farmers have been provided access to loans and benefits under various schemes.
The scheme also provides for interest-free loans to farmers and a full 12-month period for repayment of loans.
The Chief Minister said that through their hard work, farmers of Madhya Pradesh are taking the state’s agricultural economy to new heights. Madhya Pradesh ranks second in the country in pulse production, second in oilseed production and third in milk production. The state is also ranked first in the country in organic farming and organic cotton production.
He said that the government is focusing particularly on increasing farmers’ sources of income, reducing the cost of cultivation and increasing production and income through technology and innovation.
The government has set a target of increasing the state’s irrigation capacity to 100 lakh hectares, expanding the area under horticulture to 30 lakh hectares, and establishing 10,000 new micro food-processing units.
The Chief Minister appealed to farmers to adopt crop diversification, promote horticulture and natural farming, and engage in animal husbandry and fisheries.
He said that agriculture in the state is being expanded beyond merely producing food grains by connecting it with processing, branding and marketing, thereby creating new avenues of income for farmers.
Local MLA Shri Vishnu Khatri, Shri Tirath Singh Meena, Shri Gopal Singh Meena, Bhopal Collector Shri Priyank Mishra, other local public representatives, senior district officials and a large number of farmers from the region were present at the Balaram Krishi Mahotsav.
MLA Shri Rameshwar Sharma and Additional Chief Secretary Shri Neeraj Mandloi participated in the programme from the Mantralaya.

Jabalpur, August 11, 2026, SDNA. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will hoist the national flag at the state-level Independence Day ceremony to be held in the capital Bhopal on August 15 and will address the people of the state.
Various cultural programmes will also be organized at the state capital Bhopal and district headquarters on the occasion.
Assembly Speaker Shri Narendra Singh Tomar will hoist the national flag in Gwalior.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Jagdish Devda will hoist the flag in Mandsaur, while Deputy Chief Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla will hoist the flag in Rewa.

Chief Minister Transfers ₹311 Crore to Beneficiaries of Two Departmental Schemes Through a Single Click
Jabalpur, August 11, 2026, SDNA. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on Tuesday transferred social security pension amounts to the bank accounts of millions of beneficiaries across Madhya Pradesh and incentive amounts for LPG cylinder refills to eligible women under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana through a single click from the Mantralaya.
Thousands of beneficiaries from Jabalpur district were also included among those receiving the benefits. Some of them participated in the programme through video conferencing from the NIC VC Room at the Collectorate along with Collector Shri Raghavendra Singh.
After the conclusion of the state-level programme, Collector Shri Singh distributed sanction certificates to the beneficiaries present in the VC Room under the respective schemes.
Addressing beneficiaries across all districts of the state through video conferencing, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that his government is working with full commitment for the development and welfare of every section of society.
He said, “Our aspiration is to bring prosperity to every household.” He added that service and Antyodaya are the government’s priorities and that historic work is being undertaken for the welfare of the poor, youth, women and farmers under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
The Chief Minister said that serving everyone with dedication is the government’s duty and Antyodaya is its ultimate goal.
₹211.53 Crore Pension Amount Transferred
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav transferred ₹211.53 crore to the bank accounts of more than 35.25 lakh eligible beneficiaries under various social security pension schemes.
The amount was transferred as pension for July 2026.
He said that although the pension amount may be small, the support it provides is significant. The smiles on the faces of senior citizens give the government renewed energy to work even more effectively for public welfare.
The Chief Minister said that festivals are not merely occasions for celebration but also opportunities to connect with the happiness of the last person in society.
He said that for the government, nothing is more important than the dignity and happiness of citizens. Therefore, the government decided to transfer pension amounts to senior citizens first ahead of the upcoming festivals.
Raksha Bandhan Gift for More Than 22.20 Lakh Women
Referring to the holy month of Shravan and the upcoming Raksha Bandhan festival, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also transferred, through a single click, the LPG cylinder refill assistance for April and May 2026 to the accounts of more than 22.20 lakh women in the state.
Under this initiative, approximately ₹99 crore, representing two months of subsidy, was transferred to the beneficiaries’ accounts.
The Chief Minister said, “Shravan is truly the month of sisters. If sisters are not happy, there is no joy in the household. That is why we have already started giving them their Raksha Bandhan gift.”
Extending warm Raksha Bandhan greetings to all women of the state, he said that everyone should celebrate Raksha Bandhan with happiness, prepare delicious dishes and share them with their brothers.
He said, “The happiness of our sisters is our happiness, and we will leave no stone unturned for their welfare.”
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav extended greetings to the people of Madhya Pradesh on Hariyali Teej, Independence Day and Raksha Bandhan, and prayed for happiness, prosperity and well-being in everyone’s life with the blessings of Mahakal.
He also appealed to all citizens of the state to hoist the national flag at their homes under the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.
The state-level programme held from the Mantralaya in Bhopal was also addressed by Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister Shri Govind Singh Rajput and Social Justice and Disability Welfare, Horticulture and Food Processing Minister Shri Narayan Singh Kushwaha.
