Women who have so far been unable to benefit from Madhya Pradesh’s Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana may get another opportunity to apply. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has indicated that names of eligible women who were left out could be added to the scheme next year, in 2027.
The indication was given during a programme in Punjapura, Dewas. However, the government has not yet announced an official date for reopening registrations. Therefore, any specific date being circulated for fresh applications should not be treated as confirmed unless it is issued through the official scheme portal.
What Did CM Mohan Yadav Say?
Addressing the gathering in Dewas, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that women who are currently eligible but have not been receiving benefits could be included in the scheme next year.
The statement has raised expectations among women who could not apply earlier or were left out during previous registration processes.
The official Ladli Behna portal currently states that eligible beneficiaries receive ₹1,500 per month, subject to the applicable conditions.
Registration Date Still Awaited
At present, there is no officially announced schedule for a new registration window. Women should therefore avoid relying on unverified messages or social media posts claiming that applications have already opened.
Any fresh registration process, once announced, is expected to be communicated through the official Ladli Behna portal and designated government channels.
Keep These Documents Ready
Women who are expecting a fresh registration opportunity can prepare the basic documents and banking requirements in advance. According to the official portal, these include:
- Samagra Family ID or Member ID
- Aadhaar card
- Mobile number registered in the Samagra portal
- Bank account in the woman’s own name
- Aadhaar linked with the bank account
- DBT activated in the bank account
- Aadhaar-Samagra e-KYC
The official portal specifically states that e-KYC is required and that the beneficiary must have her own Aadhaar-linked, DBT-enabled bank account.
Who Can Be Eligible?
Under the scheme’s stated eligibility conditions, the applicant must be a resident of Madhya Pradesh and a married woman, including widows, divorced and abandoned women. The current official criteria specify that she must have completed 21 years of age as of January 1 of the relevant calendar year and be below 60 years of age.
The scheme also has several exclusion conditions. These include cases where the applicant or family has annual self-declared income above ₹2.5 lakh, an income-tax payer, certain government employees or pensioners, more than five acres of agricultural land, or a registered four-wheeler other than a tractor.
Where Will Applications Be Submitted?
When a registration window is opened, the official procedure provides for applications through designated Gram Panchayat offices, ward offices or camps, where the information is entered into the Ladli Behna portal/app. The applicant’s photograph is also taken during the process, and an acknowledgement containing the online application number is issued.
For now, women who are hoping to apply should ensure that their Aadhaar, Samagra details and mobile number are updated and that their bank account is Aadhaar-linked with DBT enabled.
Important: The possibility of fresh registrations in 2027 has been indicated by the Chief Minister, but the actual opening date has not yet been officially announced. Applicants should check the official Ladli Behna portal for the final notification.
