Haryana Chief Minister agrees to attend Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti’s 20th anniversary programme at Gurugram’s World Peace Centre

Gurugram, September 29, 2026 (SDNA): Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini met Jain Acharya Dr. Lokesh Muni at his residence, Sant Kabir Kutir, in Gurugram on Tuesday. The two discussed a range of national and international issues, along with matters concerning the development of Haryana.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister felicitated Acharya Lokesh with a shawl and also participated in the traditional offering of food. Acharya Lokesh presented him with a copy of the book “World Peace Ambassador.”

A key outcome of the meeting was the Chief Minister’s consent to participate in a special programme marking the completion of 20 years of Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti.

The programme is scheduled to be held on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at the World Peace Centre in Gurugram, with distinguished participants expected from India and abroad.

Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti describes the World Peace Centre as an initiative focused on promoting non-violence, peace, harmony and brotherhood, along with peace education and human development.

Saini highlights Acharya Lokesh’s peace initiatives

According to the organisation, Chief Minister Saini appreciated the humanitarian activities associated with Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti and the World Peace Centre.

He said Acharya Lokesh’s work and message had contributed to taking Indian cultural and humanitarian values to wider audiences. The Chief Minister also expressed satisfaction at the completion of two decades of Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti and said it would be an honour to participate in the anniversary programme.

The organisation further noted that the establishment of the World Peace Centre in Gurugram has added a dedicated platform in Haryana for programmes centred on peace, non-violence and social harmony. The Centre’s stated objectives include peace education, character development, social harmony and dialogue-based approaches to social challenges.

‘War Free World’ campaign discussed

During the interaction, Acharya Lokesh briefed the Chief Minister about the “We Support Peace” campaign and his international peace initiatives.

He referred to a programme held at Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., as well as his recent international engagements concerning peace and dialogue.

Acharya Lokesh stressed the message of a “War Free World”, saying that dialogue and peaceful approaches should be pursued to address conflicts. He also referred to the Jain principles of Ahimsa (non-violence) and Anekantavada, which emphasises viewing issues from multiple perspectives.

The Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti website has also reported recent international peace-related activities involving Acharya Lokesh, including an initiative connected with the World Peace Summit and his continuing advocacy of peace education and non-violence.

Focus on dialogue and human values

The meeting highlighted the role of dialogue, non-violence and human values in addressing contemporary challenges.

Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti was established in 2005 under the guidance of Acharya Lokesh and states that its programmes seek to promote peace, harmony, non-violence and human values. Its World Peace Centre in Gurugram has been developed as a platform for peace education and initiatives involving different sections of society.

The organisation said the October 24 anniversary programme will bring together people from India and abroad to mark two decades of its activities and to discuss themes related to peace, harmony and human welfare.
