Police said the men admitted making the inappropriate remarks during questioning. They subsequently expressed regret and apologised for their conduct.

In a video recorded while they were in police custody, the accused were seen apologising to the Israeli woman and acknowledging that their comments were inappropriate.

Israeli Tourist Appreciates Rajasthan Police

The Israeli woman reportedly thanked Rajasthan Police and the concerned police station for taking action despite the considerable time that had passed since the incident.

She also expressed her willingness to visit India again, indicating that the police response had helped reinforce her confidence in travelling to the country.

Legal Proceedings Underway

Police have initiated legal proceedings against the four accused under Section 170 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), according to the information provided by the Ajmer police authorities. Further questioning and legal action are reportedly continuing.

The case has also triggered a strong reaction on social media, with many users calling for strict legal action against those accused of harassing the woman.

A Reminder About Respecting Tourists

The incident has once again highlighted concerns surrounding harassment and inappropriate behaviour toward women, including foreign visitors. The delayed police action also demonstrates how videos circulating online can sometimes bring old incidents back to the attention of law-enforcement agencies.

For tourists visiting India, respectful public behaviour and effective law enforcement remain important factors in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.
