Referring to the recent civic elections, the Chief Minister attributed the BJP’s performance to the sustained efforts of workers, their public contact programmes and their organisational commitment.
He particularly highlighted the role of workers who maintained contact with voters at the booth level and interacted with people across local communities.
The broader results of Rajasthan’s 2026 urban local body elections show a competitive contest across the state. According to the Indian Express, the BJP emerged as the leading party in 148 of 309 urban local bodies, while the Congress led in 104; the two parties were tied as the largest party in another 10 bodies.
Focus shifts to Panchayat Raj elections
With the civic election phase over, Sharma called upon party workers to turn their attention towards the forthcoming Panchayat Raj elections.
He urged workers to strengthen the organisation down to the booth level and maintain regular contact with the public. He also asked them to communicate information about government welfare and development programmes to people.
According to reports from the Kota meeting, the Chief Minister emphasised grassroots mobilisation and organisational preparedness as the party looks ahead to the Panchayat elections.
Development and public outreach highlighted
Sharma said the Rajasthan government was working with a stated focus on development, good governance and public welfare. He stressed the importance of maintaining communication with citizens and ensuring that government schemes and programmes reach their intended beneficiaries.
The Chief Minister’s remarks placed the emphasis on continuing organisational work after the urban elections rather than treating the recent results as the end of the electoral cycle.

The conference was attended by Rajasthan Panchayati Raj and Education Minister Madan Dilawar, Energy Minister Heeralal Nagar, Kota South MLA Sandeep Sharma, Ladpura MLA Kalpana Devi, former minister Prabhulal Sain, former MLA Chandrakanta Meghwal, Kota Mayor Anusuya Goswami, BJP Kota City district president Rakesh Jain, BJP Kota Rural district president Prem Gochar, Bundi district president Rameshwar Meena, Bundi council chairman Bharat Sharma, along with other elected representatives, senior party office-bearers and workers.
