(SDNA) Ujjain: Boxers from Ujjain delivered an impressive performance at the 37th Madhya Pradesh State Boxing Championship 2026, winning six medals and bringing recognition to the city. The three-day tournament, held from October 5 to 7 at Eklavya Stadium in Gwalior, saw athletes representing the Amateur Boxing Association Ujjain secure two silver and four bronze medals.

The achievement highlighted the dedication, technical ability and competitive spirit of the city’s emerging boxing talent. The results have also encouraged local coaches and sports officials working to strengthen the sport’s presence in the region.

Six Boxers Secure Podium Finishes

Ujjain’s medal-winning campaign featured strong performances across the competition, with two athletes finishing second and four earning third-place honours.

The Ujjain contingent participated under the leadership of Vishal Singh Solanki, secretary of the Amateur Boxing Association Ujjain. Team manager Naitik Patidar and coach Sandeep Pargi guided the boxers throughout the championship.

Their support, combined with the athletes’ discipline and preparation, helped the team deliver a commendable performance at the state-level event.

National President Dr. Rakesh Mishra Congratulates Medal Winners

National president Dr. Rakesh Mishra congratulated the medal-winning boxers, coaches and the entire team on their achievement. He appreciated the association’s efforts to promote boxing in Ujjain, nurture young talent and create opportunities for athletes to compete at higher levels.

Mishra expressed confidence that the city’s promising boxers would continue to improve their performances, establish themselves in national competitions and aspire to represent India at international events.

The achievement also drew congratulations from Madhya Pradesh Boxing Association president Faggan Singh Kulaste, secretary Satyendra Sonkar and vice-president Vishal Rajoria.

From the Amateur Boxing Association Ujjain, patron Shivpratap Singh Chauhan, chairman Sanjay Singh Bais, district president Rajpal Singh Sisodia, vice-president Dr. Anubhav Pradhan, joint secretaries Gaurav Rokde and Rishika Raikwar also extended their best wishes to the athletes, coach and team manager.

Their encouragement underscored the importance of sustained institutional support in helping young sportspersons develop their abilities and compete at increasingly higher levels.
