Around 1,000 Sanitation Workers to Be Deployed Every Day

Minister Vishwas Sarang informed that approximately 1,000 sanitation workers will be engaged daily across different wards during the five-day campaign. To strengthen the cleaning operations, modern machinery and additional resources will be deployed.

The equipment will include road-sweeping machines, fogging machines, dumpers, JCBs and Poclain machines. These resources will support large-scale cleaning of roads, public areas and other key locations, helping improve sanitation across the constituency.

Minister Appreciates the Dedication of Sanitation Workers

At the launch of the campaign, Sarang acknowledged the hard work and commitment of sanitation workers, describing their contribution as essential to maintaining a clean city. He said that they perform their duties with dedication every day and that their consistent efforts play a major role in ensuring an effective sanitation system.

He further observed that the responsibilities of sanitation workers increase during festivals. Recognising their contribution, respecting their work and boosting their morale, he said, should be a collective responsibility of society.

Citizens Urged to Join the Cleanliness Initiative

The minister also appealed to residents to actively participate in the campaign. He urged people not to litter roads or public places and to dispose of waste only at locations designated by the Municipal Corporation.

Emphasising that cleanliness is not merely the responsibility of the administration or Municipal Corporation, Sarang said every citizen has an important role to play. Sustainable cleanliness can be achieved only when public cooperation complements the efforts of civic authorities.

He encouraged residents to make a commitment this Diwali to keep not only their homes but also the surrounding neighbourhoods clean. According to him, collective participation can help transform every street, locality and ward into a cleaner and more beautiful place.

The pre-Diwali initiative is aimed not only at strengthening sanitation arrangements across the Narela Assembly constituency but also at encouraging greater public awareness and participation in maintaining cleanliness.
