Naveen Nagar residents to get a dedicated green and recreational space; facility expected to benefit children, youth, women and senior citizens
BHOPAL, September 30, 2026: A new public park is set to come up in Naveen Nagar, Ward 39 of Bhopal’s Narela Assembly constituency, with Madhya Pradesh Minister Vishvas Kailash Sarang performing the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony for the project on Wednesday.
Sarang, who handles the Cooperation, Sports and Youth Welfare portfolios in the Madhya Pradesh government, said the proposed park would provide residents with a cleaner, greener and more accessible public space.
Public space aimed at improving neighbourhood amenities
Addressing residents after the ceremony, the minister said development of the park would create a useful recreational and open space for people living in Naveen Nagar and nearby areas.

He said the development of public amenities was being undertaken alongside other infrastructure-related works in the Narela Assembly constituency, with attention being given to local requirements.
The proposed facility is expected to serve people across different age groups, providing children and young people with recreational space while also offering women and senior citizens an accessible environment for outdoor activities and leisure.
Focus on facilities for all age groups
Sarang said urban development should not be limited to roads and basic infrastructure, but should also include public spaces that contribute to the quality of neighbourhood life.
He emphasised the importance of developing parks and other community facilities so that residents have access to better-maintained and more convenient surroundings close to their homes.
The Narela Assembly constituency includes Ward 39, which is identified as the Naveen Nagar ward of Bhopal.
Local representatives attend ceremony
Local public representatives, BJP office-bearers, party workers and a large number of residents were present during the Bhoomi Pujan programme.
The project forms part of the continuing development activity in the Narela area, where public infrastructure and community facilities have been among the focus areas of local development initiatives.
The minister said the expansion of civic amenities would continue with the objective of providing residents with improved facilities and better public spaces.
