Ujjain, (SDNA). On the second Monday of the holy month of Shravan, the first phase of the convocation ceremony of the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Business Management (JNIBM), Samrat Vikramaditya University, Ujjain, was held with renowned Creative Guru and institution alumnus Eng. Puneet Bhatnagar attending as the Guest of Honour and Chief Guest.
On the occasion, Eng. Puneet Bhatnagar emphasized the importance of constantly reinventing oneself in today’s rapidly changing world.
Eng. Puneet Bhatnagar said that Gen Z is entering a unique phase of history in which Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming every industry. The challenges posed by AI and management are much broader than merely technical, medical or management expertise and require thoughtful and responsible action.
He said, “Do not just create strategies; execute them responsibly. Do not merely ask, ‘Can we build this or can we use this?’ Also ask, ‘Should we build this or should we use this?’ Use your skills not only for your own success, but also for the progress of society.”
As a proud and distinguished alumnus of JNIBM, Eng. Puneet Bhatnagar spoke about his journey from the institution to leading initiatives that have taken major advertising campaigns to people across India. He said that JNIBM continues to provide its postgraduate students not only with knowledge but also with the skills required to deal with unprecedented challenges in today’s rapidly evolving, AI-driven world.
Drawing upon his more than three decades of rich experience in advertising, creativity and innovation, he said that a career is never a straight path. It is filled with challenges, changes and opportunities to reinvent oneself. In an era of continuous technological transformation, the key to a successful career lies in the ability to constantly reinvent oneself.
Call to Think in New Ways to Meet Today’s Requirements
Mrs. Shailaja Bhatnagar, who has served as a senior manager with the Procter & Gamble Group, also delivered a brief message of blessings and called upon students to think in new ways to meet the requirements of the present era.
Highlighting the importance of a transformative vision, she spoke about developing a bold and future-ready roadmap based on innovation, an entrepreneurial mindset and academic excellence without compromise.
Prof. Dr. Dharmendra Mehta, Director and Dean of the Faculty, expressed his thoughts on the occasion and highlighted the significance of the auspicious coincidence of the commencement of the academic journey taking place on a Shravan Monday.
Connecting Shiva Tattva with management education, he said that students entering the institution should learn important management principles from the vast and inclusive family of Lord Mahakal, including inclusivity, the continuous cycle of dissolution and creation, and organizational harmony.
At the beginning of the programme, Prof. Dr. Arpan Bhardwaj, Vice Chancellor of Samrat Vikramaditya University, Ujjain, extended his best wishes to the students. He expressed happiness over the recognition received by the institution for its remarkable academic achievements under the leadership of Dr. Dharmendra Mehta.
He also appreciated JNIBM’s significant commitment to preparing versatile and innovative leaders who are equipped to shape the future emerging from ongoing changes and transformations.
At the beginning of the programme, newly admitted students, observing the auspicious Shravan Pradosh Monday, remembered Lord Mahakal and performed Shiva Stuti and worship of Lord Ganesha, offering flowers and Bilva leaves.
Dr. Nayantara Damor, a young faculty member, provided information about the programme and introduced the distinguished guests.
Office Head Mr. Govind Tomar expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated in the programme.
